Dr Peyton Groff

Peyton Groff, Ph.D., NCSP, is a licensed psychologist who received his Ph.D., in school psychology from Mississippi State University, his MA in clinical psychology from Ball State University, and his BS in psychology from Indiana University.  Dr. Groff completed his doctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in affiliation with John Hopkins School of Medicine and his postdoctoral fellowship at the Marcus Autism Center in conjunction with Emory University School of Medicine.  He has conducted research in the areas of school based psychological and behavioral treatments for children and psycho-educational programming for children with Autism.  Dr. Groff has expertise in school consultation, psychological/educational testing, school based training, and special education rules/regulations.   

In his clinical practice, Dr. Groff specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns including behavioral problems, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, social difficulties, anger, anxiety, and depression.  His treatment approaches include individual, family, and group psychotherapy with a major emphasis on parent training, applied behavior analysis, and cognitive behavioral treatments. 
 
Beyond direct services to children and families, Dr. Groff maintains an active role in autism and school based research and  provides seminars and trainings to the community on these and related topics.  He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologist, and the Association for Behavior Analysis International.
